Parks for the People

Spencer, smiling and wearing a blue dress shirt talking with community members outside at an event

I’ve always believed that our parks and community spaces are where Vancouver comes together — where children play, friends meet, families gather, and everyone can find a moment of calm in the city.

But lately our parks have come under attack from municipal decisionmakers, being neglected with $11 million in cuts, non-existent community engagement, and 72 percent of city facilities in poor condition as a result.

I’m running for Vancouver Park Board in the October 17th municipal election to make sure these spaces get the attention they deserve, and to ensure they are safe and accessible for everyone in our community.

Our public spaces have been neglected for too long. It's time for that to change.
